FINAL QUESTIONNAIRE FOR LEARNERS

The aim of the questionnaire is to examine the outcomes of activities which have been used to promote the idea of formative assessment. The authors of the questionnaire focussed mainly on the assessment of students’ speaking skills.

The questionnaire encourages learners to reflect on their own development, on methods and techniques of learning and teaching a foreign language, and on the teacher’s role in the process. In addition, it may help enhance student’s self-responsibility for learning, increase motivation, and, as a result, improve foreign language skills and proficiency.

The questionnaire for students is intended for foreign language learners in all types of language centres or educational institutions at various levels, from primary to tertiary.

The aim of the questionnaire is to examine the outcomes of activities which have been used to promote the idea of formative assessment. The authors of the questionnaire focussed mainly on the assessment of students’ speaking skills.

The questionnaire is intended for teachers who have been participating in training sessions, workshops or lectures on formative assessment, have been observing other teachers’ classes, and who are interested in introducing formative assessment tools into their own everyday practice.

While completing the questionnaire, the teachers are encouraged to reflect on the strengths and weaknesses of their own teaching practice and are motivated to take action in order to improve the didactic process.
